We are seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to join our small, dynamic team. This varied role combines warehouse operations, basic IT hardware handling and repair, and driving responsibilities. The individual will play a key role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods, maintaining accurate inventory, and assisting with the testing and repair of IT equipment. Driving will be required for business and school collections of IT equipment, so a full driving licence is essential. Physical stamina, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude are critical to success in this fast-paced and hands-on working environment.
Responsibilities
Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of goods as required.
Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are accurately logged and stored.
Pick and pack orders for dispatch, ensuring items are correctly selected, packaged, and labelled.
Maintain an organised stock area, ensuring materials are stored safely, efficiently, and in the correct locations.
Operate warehouse equipment safely and in line with company procedures.
Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock audits to ensure accuracy in stock levels.
Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow efficiency and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
Drive to collect IT equipment from schools and businesses, ensuring careful handling and proper documentation.
Test and carry out basic repairs or diagnostics on IT equipment such as laptops, PCs, and tablets.
Accurately update systems or records with stock movements, repair statuses, and collection details.
Support the preparation and refurbishment of IT equipment for reuse or resale.
Skills
& Experience
Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely and efficiently.
Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes.
Experience with picking and packing orders, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Knowledge of safe materials handling and warehouse best practices.
Basic IT hardware knowledge (e.g. identifying components, handling laptops, PCs, tablets).
Confidence in testing and performing simple diagnostics on IT equipment (training can be provided).
Must be
21 years or older
with a
full UK driving licence
and a good driving record.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently when required.
Comfortable using basic computer systems or warehouse management software.
Additional Information:
This is a physically demanding role that involves standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks. Training will be provided where needed, particularly for IT testing and refurbishment procedures.
