About the Role
As the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, you will be at the heart of operations, overseeing the seamless receipt, storage, distribution, and dispatch of a diverse range of goods. Your expertise will be crucial in managing daily warehouse activities, optimising logistics processes, and leading a dedicated team to ensure accuracy, productivity, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management

• Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving goods, inventory management, order fulfilment, and dispatch.

• optimise warehouse layout and space utilisation for maximum efficiency and safety.

• Maintain robust stock control systems to minimise loss, damage, or discrepancies.

Logistics & Distribution

• Plan and coordinate transport schedules, routes, and deliveries to meet customer requirements across the UK and overseas.

• Work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport partners to ensure the efficient, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods.

• Oversee import and export documentation, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, motivate, and support warehouse and logistics staff to achieve operational goals.

• Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all operations align with company policies, legal requirements, and health and safety standards.

• Carry out regular risk assessments and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Continuous Improvement

• Track and analyse team KPIs to measure performance and efficiency.

• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and introduce improvements that enhance productivity and service quality.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience (5+ years) in warehousing and logistics management.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP software, and inventory control procedures.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Forklift certification or experience (in-house training provided).

• Qualifications in Logistics and Warehouse Management or related fields (preferred but not essential).
