We are a growing organisation that due to increasing sales and a recently purchased additional coldstore now have a new vacancy for a Warehouse and Logistics Manager.
Job Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, forward-thinking individual to join our senior team to drive the company forward through this next phase. You will need to take ownership of the performance of the warehouse ensuring operational excellence, exceptional customer service whilst ensuring the highest safety standards.
As logistics manager you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient storage and movement of food products, driving performance improvements, and delivering continuous development in processes and systems.
Key responsibilities:
Leading day-to-day operations, including receiving, storing, picking and dispatch of goods.
Optimising layout, stock control, and organisation for maximum efficiency,
Motivating, guiding and supporting warehouse teams to meet productivity and quality standards.
Ensuring safe handling, storage, and repacking of goods in line with procedures.
Maintaining accurate documentation for audits, inspections and compliance.
Monitoring and reporting on KPI's, budgets and performance targets.
Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
Championing Health and Safety best practices to ensure compliance at all times.
Delivering on operational requirements and support wider business objectives.
What we're looking for:
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership and commercial skills, Will have a proven track record of managing logistic operations in a fast-paced logistics environment. It is not essential but ideally this would be in the FMCG sector.
Essential skills and experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a logistics management role.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage budgets and drive commercial performance.
Sound knowledge of logistics and warehouse best practices.
Strong Health and Safety expertise.
IT proficient.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
