Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced transport supervisor to assist our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing transportation activities while the Transport Manager is away, ensuring efficient delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of customer service. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to drive performance within the team.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily transportation operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Manage a team of drivers and logistics personnel alongside the Manager, providing guidance and support to optimise performance. Coordinate schedules and routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimising costs. Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including vehicle maintenance and driver performance. Oversea the loading process of vehicles to ensure all goods are secured and loded correctly. Utilise IT systems and software (including Word and Excel) for reporting and data management. Support the warehouse team in pick, packing and loading of goods when needed throughout the day, Motivate and lead the drivers and warehouse team when it comes to loading of the vehicles

Experience

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the transportation or logistics sector is a plus. Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong command of English, both written and verbal, for effective communication with team members and customers. A background in supply chain management is advantageous but not mandatory. Demonstrated ability to drive results through effective team management and customer service orientation.
