The Role:



Mathewson and Rosemond Limited are seeking to appoint a Warehouse Assistant to assist in the development of the logistics and warehouse/operation teams. The post holder will learn to be confident, proactive, be willing to take on challenges and use their experience and initiative to resolve problems effectively. They must also learn to promote professionalism and customer service.

Duties Include:



Assist in preparation of orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (Assist with Picking, wrapping pallets/boxes).

Assist with goods receiving and processing warehouse stock products (unload, label, store) (as directed by line manager)

Data input into windows-based computer systems (training to be provided).

Ensure All work areas kept clean and tidy Daily bin emptying warehouse/yard sweeping.

Ensure fleet vehicles are kept clean inside/out weekly

'O' ring removal/tidy of workstation

Assist in reporting any stock discrepancies to line manager,

Assist with preparation of stock takes when requested. Ensure accuracy is maintained when reporting figures.

Forklift truck driving/driving and delivering orders to customer where necessary

Communicate accurately and effectively with all stakeholders e.g. colleagues, customers, and suppliers, maintaining professionalism always.

Follow Health & Safety policy and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations,

Keep a clean and safe the working environment (including offices/toilets/kitchen areas)

Optimise space safely where possible (yard/warehouse)

Attending staff meetings and relevant training courses

Any other duties pertinent to the post

Please note we expect this list of duties to increase and develop as the post holder gains knowledge and experience of the business. On occasion the post holder may be required to work overtime or weekends to support operations.

Person Specification



The person specification details the necessary skills, qualifications, experience, or other attributes needed to carry out the job.

Previous warehouse experience including stocking, picking & packing, shipping and receiving is preferred

Excellent time management and punctuality.

Forklift truck licence and/or driving licence is desired.

Ability to learn detailed industry product knowledge and gain experience.

Good organisational skills with attention to detail for inventory accuracy

Develop verbal communication, and the ability to convey information clearly and effectively,

Develop Strong attention to detail and an ability to multitask,

Good numeracy and IT skills, experience around windows based systems.

Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking within the warehouse setting.

Physically able to lift weights of up to 25kg utilising correct manual handling techniques.

Be committed to providing excellent customer service,

Ability to remain calm and friendly when under pressure,

A good team player with a willingness to contribute fully and flexibly,

Reliable and trustworthy

High level of personal presentation and appropriate dress relevant to working conditions.

Develop knowledge of health & safety practices within a warehouse environment

Take direction from individuals in higher-level positions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
