Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong ability to perform heavy lifting, operate warehouse management systems, and maintain an organised workspace.

Responsibilities

Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of goods as required. Operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment safely and efficiently. Fork lift licence preferred but can be trained. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation of all incoming and outgoing shipments. Maintain stock levels by accurately picking, packing, and storing items in designated areas. Housekeeping of warehouse and yard. Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels effectively. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and maintain a clean, organised work environment.

Requirements

Proven experience in a warehouse setting is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is an advantage. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift. Experience with picking and packing procedures within a warehouse environment. Breaking pallets down into departments. Working tidy. Proficiency in using warehouse management systems. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in stock management. A proactive approach to safety, adhering to all health and safety regulations within the workplace.
