Role Description

We're looking for a dependable, hands-on Warehouse Assistant to join our engaged and friendly team in the timber yardat our Ladbroke Grove branch -- one of the busiest and most vibrant in the network.

In this important role, you'll help keep the timber yard running smoothly, supporting customers with collections, managing stock safely and efficiently, and contributing to a positive working environment.

Responsibilities:

Delivering excellent customer service with prompt and helpful assistance in the timber yard Handling timber products with care and storing them correctly to avoid damage Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently Reporting stock issues or breakages to your manager Keeping the timber yard clean, safe, and well-organised Wearing appropriate PPE and following all health & safety procedures Reporting any damage to racking or safety equipment Supporting your team with general yard and warehouse duties as needed

Hours: 7am-5pm Mon-Fri, 7am-12pm alternate Saturdays

Holiday: 23 days per year plus Bank Holidays

Requirements

At least 2 years' experience in a warehouse or yard role Good level of English and maths Confidence in manual handling and understanding of health & safety procedures Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused Willing to learn and support other parts of the business when needed Forklift Truck licence (advantageous) Experience working in a timber yard or builders merchant (desirable) Right to work in the UK
