Job Purpose

The Warehouse Assistant will support the smooth operation of Artek UK's warehouse by handling incoming deliveries, managing stock, preparing orders, and ensuring timely dispatch to customers. This role is essential in maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and safety within the warehouse environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Goods-In & Storage

Receive and check deliveries against purchase orders. Unload, sort, and store products safely and efficiently. Label, organise, and allocate stock to designated storage areas.

2. Order Processing & Dispatch

Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders with accuracy. Ensure goods are packaged securely to prevent damage. Create delivery notes and dispatch orders on time. Liaise with couriers and logistics partners.

3. Stock Management

Assist in inventory control and cycle counts. Report stock discrepancies, damages, or shortages. Rotate stock to minimise waste and maintain accuracy.

4. Health, Safety & Maintenance

Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organised at all times. Follow all company health & safety procedures. Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks or forklifts (if licensed).

5. Teamwork & Support

Work closely with warehouse colleagues and supervisors. Provide support to other departments when required. Contribute ideas to improve processes and efficiency.

Skills & Competencies

Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organisational and time-management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Physically fit to handle manual handling tasks. Basic computer skills (warehouse systems, scanners, MS Office).

Qualifications & Experience

Previous warehouse/logistics experience desirable but not essential. Forklift licence advantageous but not mandatory. Knowledge of warehouse health & safety procedures. Minimum GCSEs or equivalent qualifications preferred.

Pay: 26,000.00-30,000.00 per year
