We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, handling various tasks related to materials management, stocking, and shipping. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels.
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
Perform picking and packing of orders accurately for shipping.
Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring that all items are accounted for.
Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management tasks.
Utilise mechanical knowledge for minor repairs or maintenance of warehouse equipment.
Experience
Previous experience in a warehouse environment is highly desirable.
Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety protocols.
Experience with picking, packing, shipping, and receiving processes.
Knowledge of AS400 or similar inventory management systems is an advantage.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
Background in construction or mechanical fields can be beneficial but is not essential. We welcome applications from individuals who are eager to contribute to our team and grow within the warehouse sector.
