Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to stock management, materials handling, and equipment operation. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. Good communication and listening skills to be able to deal customer enquiries and collections.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Manage stock levels by accurately picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch. Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Maintain an organised warehouse environment by following established procedures for materials handling. Good communication with both team members, customers and suppliers. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets and maintain high standards of safety.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred. Proficiency in operating forklifts and understanding of warehouse management systems. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) and stand for extended periods. Familiarity with picking and packing processes is advantageous. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. A proactive approach to safety and adherence to health regulations within the workplace. Good communication at the trade counter with customers. Basic IT skills.
