Warehouse Assistant in an Engineering Stores Department
Working Hours:
20 hours per week worked across 5 days - Monday-Friday
Location:
Thyson Office (CH65 4LX)
Primary duties:
Protection and preservation of stock and goods receipting material on the SAP system.
Receiving and inspecting deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality of goods.
Organising and storing inventory in designated locations, maintaining order and accessibility.
Updating stock records using inventory management systems or manual logs.
Issuing materials and supplies to internal departments as requested.
Monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of low or surplus items.
Conducting regular stock checks and assisting with audits and inventory reconciliation.
Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the storage area, complying with health and safety regulations.
Assisting with returns and disposals of damaged or obsolete stock.
Requirements:
Experience of work in a Stores environment, ideally within an Engineering company.
Forklift Truck license (training will be provided if required)
Basic IT skills such as Microsoft, Word, Excel would be beneficial.
Experience of using a SAP system would be beneficial but not essential - training will be provided.
Ability to take ownership, be passionate and take pride in your work.
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels both internally and externally.
