Job Overview
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in warehousing. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our warehouse.
You will work under the Warehouse Operations Coordinator, helping to ensure the smooth running of all warehouse activities in a safe and efficient manner.
The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to materials handling, stock management, and shipping and receiving operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within a dynamic warehouse environment, supporting efficient logistics and inventory control. Prior warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided. The position involves physical activity, including heavy lifting, and requires adherence to safety standards to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities
Assisting with daily warehouse duties, including picking, packing, and dispatching orders
Supporting with goods-in and ensuring deliveries are checked and stored correctly
Helping to maintain accurate stock levels and assisting with stock takes
Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and safe
Assisting with preparing orders for courier collection
Following all health & safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents/injuries
Key Skills & Requirements
A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a manual role with a reasonable level of physical fitness
Reliable and punctual
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Basic IT skills are an advantage
Previous warehouse experience is helpful but not essential as full training will be provided
Knowledge of forklift operation is desirable; valid certification is advantageous
