The Role:

Main activities include following cleaning schedules and maintaining a high standard of housekeeping by ensuring that all environmental, hygiene, health & safety polices are adhered to. Understand the critical control points identified through HACCP and ensure that they are always in operation. Liaise with cleaning suppliers to ensure cleaning machinery is kept serviced and maintained correctly. Ensure general housekeeping rules, regulations and policies are adhered to and the recording of all duties / tasks are completed in the relevant cleaning schedules and report any issues observed relating to quality, safety, sanitation, machinery or throughput to the Department Manager.

Responsibilities:

Ensure cleaning schedules / routines are registered and signed at the end of each shift / week and signed overall by a supervisor / manager Ensure efficient use of resources Maintain an awareness of the company's quality and hygiene standards, policies and take the necessary actions to ensure that these are adhered to Maintain a high standard of housekeeping by ensuring that all environmental, hygiene, health & safety polices are adhered to an ensure all standards meet with corporate and audit quality Assist in the promotion and practice of working in a safe and healthy environment by ensuring that all equipment is used in accordance with safety regulations and company rules. Maintain a 'clean as you go' approach at all times ensuring any spillages (factory & outside) are cleaned up immediately Ensure perimeter of the building maintained in a sanitary manner which includes cleaning of bulk flour silos, compactor areas and car parks and ensure all security protocols are maintained Ensure that any type of accident at work is immediately reported to the relevant people Ensure compliance with all Company Policies and procedures as detailed in the Company Handbook. Identify relevant training needs to your supervisor / manager Cover for other Hygiene Operatives during periods of absence Ensure all packaging from Blend; bakery is moved to the appropriate waste containers Ensure all equipment used for the hygiene activity is in good order and report any issues as appropriate Any other duties as deemed reasonable by your supervisor / manager.

Experience & Knowledge:

Previous experience in a similar role, within a food factory experience, preferably in FMCG Basic Health & Safety and Basic Food Hygiene qualifications Current Reach / PPT truck licence

Other Information:

Working within our Blend Department, this role is on a 12-hour night shift (19.00-07.00) on a rotating shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 30,083.01 per year
