Role

To maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe warehouse environment by carrying out routine and deep cleaning tasks in line with company procedures, health & safety requirements, and (where applicable) food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Clean warehouse floors, walkways, loading bays, and storage areas using approved equipment and chemicals Clean and sanitise work surfaces, racking, doors, walls, and high-touch points Empty waste bins and dispose of waste correctly, including recycling where applicable Carry out deep cleans as scheduled or requested Use cleaning machinery safely (e.g. floor scrubbers, pressure washers) Follow colour-coded cleaning systems and COSHH guidelines Report hazards, spillages, pest activity, or maintenance issues promptly Work safely around moving vehicles / FLT, racking, and equipment Support audits, inspections, and hygiene checks Any other reasonable duties required to support warehouse operations

Health, Safety & Food Hygiene

Follow all Health & Safety policies and risk assessments Wear required PPE at all times Comply with food safety and hygiene standards (e.g. cleaning schedules, allergen controls, contamination prevention) Understand and follow COSHH procedures for cleaning chemicals Maintain accurate cleaning records and checklists
