Due to our continued growth a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join TMT First as a Warehouse Dispatch Operative.
The Opportunity
The Warehouse Operative role is to work to best practices and following documented procedures to ensure stock records are kept accurate, and incoming and outgoing goods are handled efficiently to meet customer and supplier expectations.
Duties will include:
Using internal systems to process units through the correct process for dispatch
Processing units on our chosen courier websites.
Printing labels off for the orders.
Packing units and moving to dispatch area ready for collection
Stock movement to ship locations and packaging ready for dispatch
Picking orders that the Sales Department have sold or sold on Amazon as well as processing through same dispatch process and packing ready for shipment at the end of the day
General housekeeping
Demonstrates knowledge and use of systems and internal programmes to provide accurate data to own and other departments
Asks questions to check own understanding of processes to ensure correct application.
Works to develop additional knowledge and technical skills. Participates in training sessions.
Notifies Job Supervisor of problems in a timely manner. Contributes to problem resolution
Uses computerised or manual processes to process stock to an exacting standard. Ensures accuracy of own work.
Conforms to business and customer security and compliance policies
Contributes to performance of the team.
Contributes to maintaining a safe working environment and raises Health and Safety concerns in a timely manner.
Works hard to deliver outputs on time on to meet and exceed customer expectation.
About You
The successful applicant must be a team player, have strong organisational skills, a high level of attention to detail and be computer literate. It is also important to be able to multitask and be adaptable due to using multiple internal and external software systems.
