Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Distribution Manager to oversee our logistics and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of the supply chain, focusing on continuous improvement and profitability. This role requires a strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes, as well as expertise in warehouse management systems and transportation management systems.

Responsibilities

Manage daily distribution operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods. Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to enhance productivity and efficiency. Oversee logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes and reduce costs. Monitor profit and loss statements related to distribution activities, identifying areas for improvement. Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse environment. Collaborate with supply chain teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively. Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and streamline operations.

Requirements

Proven experience in logistics or warehouse management, with a strong understanding of supply chain principles. Familiarity with transportation management systems is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement strategies within a distribution setting. Strong supervisory skills with experience in leading teams effectively. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to analyse profit and loss statements related to distribution activities. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency.
