Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced, reliable and motivated Warehouse / FLT Operative to join our busy logistics team.

FLT licence is required.

This role is ideal for a candidate with extensive experience in warehouse operations, particularly within fast-paced environments such as FMCG. The successful applicant will be confident operating a forklift (counterbalance essential) and will demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety, stock accuracy, and teamwork. 8:00am - 5:00pm with flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

Operate Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently (tested during interview). Support warehouse operations including goods in, goods out, stock movements, and booking stock in/out. Manually handle stock and goods, including lifting and moving heavy items - must be physically fit and able to manage repetitive tasks. Accurately pick and pack orders using handheld scanners in a fast-paced environment. Assist with stock control, including cycle counts, stock checks, and investigating discrepancies. Use warehouse systems and Microsoft Office tools for stock management and documentation. Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, follow risk assessments and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Support the team with general warehouse duties as required, including maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar warehouse or FMCG role. Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence - practical test will be conducted during interview. Reach Truck licence is advantageous but not essential. Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks consistently. Experience with stock control systems and warehouse software. Comfortable with PC use - familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.). Strong awareness of Health & Safety and risk management in a warehouse setting. Proven experience in order picking and packing, ideally using handheld scanners.
