The Purpose of the

Warehouse Lead

is to oversee daily ownership of goods receipt, production kitting, replenishment of lineside stock, cycle counting and dispatch activities accurately and on time. By maintaining flow, discipline, and warehouse standards, they will ensure production is never stopped for missing parts and customer orders are shipped complete and on time.

The Role and Accountabilities...

Goods receipt



Receive and book in all deliveries on the same day of arrival.

Verify deliveries against paperwork, recording and escalating discrepancies/damages.

Put stock away in the correct locations to maintain traceability and stock accuracy.

Production kitting



Prepare and deliver kits in line with the daily production schedule.

Locate kits in the correct day bays, maintaining >=95% accuracy and a 5-day buffer.

Replenish line-side stock proactively to avoid stoppages.

Cycle Counting



Complete daily cycle counts in line with the daily cycle count schedule.

Review exception reports and process in line with delegated authority.

Dispatch to customer



Pick, pack, and ship customer orders in line with the pick list, achieving 100% accuracy.

Complete dispatches on time and meet agreed packaging and presentation standards.

Maintain warehouse organisation and presentation to 5S standards.

Plus, day to day supervision of Forklift & Reach Truck Driver; ensuring they are delivering against their accountabilities, are adding value and feeling valued, and providing feedback and observations around performance to line manager for monthly 1-1's.

Qualifications and Experience...

Experience in a warehouse environment.

Experience of using an ERP system to manage inventory from receipt, to manufacturing then through to dispatch.

Familiar with manufacturing operations and product flow.

Ability to work to set processes and offer improvement opportunities.

Experience of stock counting and resolving discrepancies through root cause analysis.

Attention to detail.

A curious and commercial mindset.

Creative thinking to overcome challenges and ensure best use of the warehouse space.

Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail; and be team-focused with excellent time management skills.

Experience in supervision/team leadership.

Forklift License, both Reach and Counterbalance (Desirable)

Working hours: Monday-Friday 8.00m-4.30pm (37.5 hours per week)

Location: Bourton on the Water

Salary: 28,000-32,000 per annum
