We are an independent packaging distributor based in Mereworth, Kent

Due to retirement, we are seeking a dedicated, reliable and physically fit person to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse and logistics processes. This position involves various tasks related to materials handling, shipping and receiving, and inventory management, all of which are essential for maintaining the flow of goods within our organisation.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Unloading of suppliers vehicles, labelling and stocking goods in the designated storage areas. Perform picking and loading of orders accurately onto our vehicles for delivery Booking in orders as they arrive Perform picking and packing of orders accurately to meet shipping deadlines. Verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation Ensuring vehicle maintenance and cleaning of vehicles in conjunction with our drivers Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment to promote safety and efficiency. Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy in stock levels.

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is highly desirable. Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety protocols. Experience in fork truck operation Ability to perform some heavy lifting as required by the role. Solid team player and be able to work on your own
