The Warehouse and Logistics Operative plays a key role in supporting the production workflow and ensuring that all materials, stock, and finished goods are efficiently handled within the print and point-of-sale facility. This is a physically active role requiring attention to detail, organisational skills, and collaboration with various departments to maintain smooth operations and timely despatch. The role requires forklift operation, stock management, and adherence to health and safety procedures, contributing directly to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
Support production teams by providing required stock and materials.
Assist in the end-to-end production workflow, ensuring smooth operations.
Source, pick, and move stock around the production facility using pallet trucks, forklifts, and vans.
Load and unload vehicles and pallets safely and efficiently.
Pick, wrap, and pack boxes and pallets ready for despatch.
Manage raw materials, moving pallets as needed for production requirements.
Utilise IT systems for stock control, despatch documentation, and label creation.
Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised workspace while minimising waste and ensuring proper recycling.
Person Specification
Physically fit and capable of handling loads up to 15kg.
Able to prioritise tasks effectively based on production demands.
Experienced in working within busy manufacturing or warehouse environments.
Works collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when required.
Proactive and motivated to learn, improve processes, and support operational efficiency.
Flexible to work additional hours or shifts during peak periods as required.
General:
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, quality, and security policies, and standards, and escalate any issues to the Production Manager as required. Adhere to company procedures, including waste disposal, and maintain the highest standards in all activities. Participate in team meetings as requested and take responsibility for personal professional growth by identifying training and development opportunities through regular reviews and ongoing dialogue with your line manager.
