About the role:
The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for receiving and organising vehicle components, kits, and supplies across all manufacturing areas, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.
Key duties include, but are not limited to:
Planning, organising, and conducting activities in an effective manner towards achieving common goals and objectives.
Reporting deviations from the standard working processes and taking corrective actions.
Take action to achieve KPIs.
Responsible for supplying the production departments with materials / components by:
- Agreeing with logistics representatives about the escalation of logistics issues to find solutions.
- Organisation of internal production logistics.
Provide shipping to our internal customer by:
- Organisation of production components in accordance with the instructions of the internal customer / department
- Organisation of production components delivery throughout the designated site locations.
Ensuring optimisation of material flow in the production process by:
- Applying Lean Manufacturing methods (e.g., 5S, Kanban)
- Co-operation with the manufacturing departments to ensure correct material flow.
Ensuring that safety policies are understood and respected within his area of responsibilities.
Maintaining an organised tidy, safe and clean, yard, dispatch, receiving and warehouse areas.
Ensuring resources are scheduled to meet the internal customer delivery plans.
Realise inventory counts in relation to Inventory control measures.
Propose new ways of working to the Warehouse Operations Manager and Supervisor that improve efficiency.
Supporting the Warehouse customer focus - presentation of image and working standards to internal customers and external visitors.
Engaging with Warehouse, Quality teams to ensure that all components are delivered to the required company expectations.
What we're looking for:
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Current driving licence
Previous experience in leading teams
Current Forklift Truck licence
Health and Safety at Work training
First aider
SAP - working experience of warehouse module.
General computer skills (MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Previous experience in Warehouse Operations
Basic knowledge of MRP2, interactions with other stakeholders
Safety in a Logistical/ Manufacturing environment
Component metrology and quality improvement tools is advantageous.
