We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations within our logistics and supply chain environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse activities, supervising staff, and ensuring efficient utilisation of resources. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, transportation management, and process optimisation to support seamless shipping, receiving, and inventory control. The Warehouse Manager will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards, improving operational procedures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
Duties
Oversee all warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfilment.
Supervise warehouse staff, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of productivity and safety.
Utilise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), to optimise workflows and track inventory levels.
Coordinate with 3PL providers to manage third-party logistics services efficiently.
Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and optimise space utilisation.
Manage forklift operations ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations; organise maintenance schedules for equipment.
Monitor profit & loss statements related to warehouse activities and contribute to budget planning.
Oversee shipping & receiving procedures ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliveries.
Develop strategies for continuous improvement in logistics processes aligning with supply chain best practices.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies across all warehouse activities.
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.
Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics operations, and shipping & receiving processes.
Experience working with 3PL providers and managing third-party logistics relationships.
Demonstrable experience in process improvement initiatives within a warehouse setting.
Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment; relevant certifications preferred.
