We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that materials are handled safely and effectively. This position involves a variety of tasks including Co-ordinate Finished Goods Exiting The Factory ensuring they are either Stored On Site In A Safe Organised Manner, loaded for Trans-shipment to RGE Alconbury or loaded for delivery delivered in line with customer demands. Assisting, Organising & Scheduling Despatches and internal stock movements, Assisting Replenishment as required of the sites daily Factory Pick list in Line with Demand.
Responsibilities
Maintain a Clean and Tidy Workplace Following 5S principles, Supporting 5S site Activity
Co-ordinate, Organise & Perform Finished Goods & Factory Stock Movements
Assist With Stock Control Of Finished Goods Alongside Perform Perpetual Inventory Checks As And When Required
Liaise With the Alconbury Warehouse Team Reference Sales & Transportation Demands & Activities.
Unload Returning Lorry's Placing Empty's Into Designated Area's
Control Customer Returns Ensuring Products Are Placed In The Correct Area & Relevant Supervision is notified
Generate End Of Shift Report / Read & Send Email Communication / Use SAPB1 Computer System To Transfer Products As Required
Co-ordinate & Generate Paperwork for Dispatches in line with Customer Demands
Support Company Waste Streamlining Activities In Line With ISO14001 Requirements Including Waste Disposal Into the Site Compactor & (or) Euro-carts
Check MHE, By Completing Daily Safety Check Sheets Using Any Equipment - Report Any Faults, Through Logistics Team Management
Report Any Defects To The Management Team
Always Wear Correct PPE - Including Safety Footwear, Eyewear, Ear Protection, High Visibility Vests, Gloves
Support Other Logistics Activity's / RGE Departments As Operationally Required
Support Factory with Out of Hours Demands
Attend & Participate In Daily Shift Briefs, Departmental, Health & Safety and Environmental Meetings As Required
Undertake Stocktaking Activities as Directed, Including Participation in The Year End Stock Count
To Comply At All Times with Health and Safety at Work requirements as determined by company policy
Qualifications
Counterbalance Fork-Lift Certificate.
2 Years FLT Driving Experience.
Previous experience in a Warehouse & Distribution Background is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating equipment effectively.
Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely, with a focus on physical fitness and stamina.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in handling materials.
Strong communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.
