Meadowcroft Foodservice Limited is a friendly, small family-run business dedicated to supplying quality food and catering products across Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire. We pride ourselves on reliability and a strong team environment. We're looking for a dependable Warehouse Operations Assistant / Delivery Driver to be a part of our team.

The Role: What You'll Be Doing

This is full-time role split between working in our warehouse and driving local routes.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving & Delivery:

Safely driving and delivering products to our catering customers.

Order Fulfilment:

Accurately picking and packing customer orders, ensuring they are ready for delivery.

Shipping & Receiving:

Efficiently loading and unloading goods at the warehouse and customer sites.

Stock Management:

Checking dates and quantities of all incoming and outgoing stock and organising products in their designated warehouse locations.

Warehouse Maintenance:

Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised warehouse environment.

Compliance:

Performing daily vehicle checks to ensure safe operation.

Team Support:

Assisting with any other necessary operational duties as required.

Opportunity for Growth:

For the right person, this role has the potential to expand to also include order taking and processing of sales orders, offering a chance to develop your skills in office administration and customer service. In house training on computer packages used in the business would be given.

The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, and possesses a great "can-do" work ethic.

Requirements:

Physical Fitness:

This is a physically demanding role involving frequent lifting. You must be fit and able to lift/move stock up to 25kg.

Valid Driver's License:

A clean driving record is strongly preferred.

Essential Skills:

A good communicator who can work equally well independently and as part of a team.

Tech Savvy:

Must be IT literate for operational tasks.

Experience is a bonus:

Previous experience in a warehouse or delivery role is helpful but not essential.

Pay Rate

13.00 per hour

Schedule

Monday to Friday. No weekends or Bank Holidays.

Hours

7.00am - 4.00pm (includes a half hour unpaid break)
