Job Description

There are five divisions of the Tildenet Group offering services to the Garden Retail, Horticulture, Sport, Industrial, and Fencing industries.

The

Warehouse Operations Manager

will work across all areas of the business and oversee the whole lifecycle of a product ensuring that quality and cost efficiency are maintained at all stages of the process ensuring the best possible customer journey for each product .

Duties will include:

Project managing cross-functional teams planning, scheduling and reviewing workload to deliver agreed products on time, on target and within budget. Setting, monitoring & reviewing work load schedule and monitoring performance against KPIs and targets to ensure quality and on time delivery. Ensuring the allocation of necessary manpower, competence, skill, and knowledge, in order to achieve production targets and that the workforce are deployed in the most cost effective way

Quality Control



Monitoring & reviewing operations to ensure correct quality standards ensuring each product has optimum specification and is presented and packed appropriately Ensuring quality processes, equipment being used and the working environments are all conducive to producing a high quality service. Monitoring activity to ensure that the appropriate methods are employed and that sufficient care is taken in order to meet the customer's requirements Ensuring rejected product / non conformance is processed and rectified as high priority and that customers are kept informed.

Process Management



Working with stakeholders across internal and external functions to maximise the delivery and performance of each product Organising, planning and co-ordinating all management activities to achieve a `Right first time' culture Ensuring that all IT and inventory systems / processes run efficiently and effectively. Implementing improvement processes and systems to increase throughput and minimise costs. Ensuring that both goods inward and distribution departments are well organised and adequately resourced to sufficiently support activities and the goals of the business. Ensuring incoming product is processed and managed appropriately according to company procedure. Monitoring and managing adherence to third party and sub contracted agreements and SLAs Ensuring that finished product is well packaged, labelled and delivered according to the agreed delivery date.

Health & Safety



Promoting & maintaining awareness and compliance of H&S in accordance with best practice and legal requirement.

Recruitment & Employment



Ensuring all recruitment and employment is carried out in accordance to company procedure and in compliance with current employment law. Performance Management & Annual Appraisals Monitoring, reviewing and addressing personnel performance, maintaining appropriate records in accordance with company procedures. Conducting and recording annual performance appraisals. Ensuring that the appropriate systems and processes are in place to measure and manage staff performance and to coach and develop a high performance workforce. Addressing any staff discipline or grievance issue, maintaining appropriate records in accordance with company procedures.

Staff Training & Development



Establishing and implementing goals and objectives for team to help support performance Being aware of and promoting best practice and performance standards. Developing and monitoring KPIs in each area Identifying individual training needs and implementing, monitoring and reviewing training and development plan.

Person Specification



Successful track record in a similar role within an FMCG related environment Experience of implanting and managing process improvement working with multiple stakeholders within a manufacturing or distribution operation Have a working understanding of quality management systems and experience in the operating within ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Have a working understanding of health and safety best practice and legislation. Excellent organizational and planning ability Strong IT skills and experience in managing multi stakeholder IT systems Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with cross functional staff at all levels Demonstrate an understanding of leadership principles and management best practice Strong ability to research and evaluate internal and external information, analyse complex data, report and make recommendations A proactive, positive and team orientated mindset
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to 50,000.00 per year
