About the Role
As a
Warehouse Team Leader
, you'll take a hands-on role in overseeing an area within the warehouse, ensuring operations run efficiently, safely, and accurately. You'll support the management team in driving continuous improvement, motivating your team, and maintaining high performance across all daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and motivate your team to achieve daily and weekly targets.
Manage workflow and ensure processes are followed accurately and efficiently.
Conduct daily team briefings and maintain strong communication across shifts.
Carry out safety and equipment checks to ensure a safe working environment.
Oversee stock control, stock rotation, and inventory accuracy.
Deliver training and coaching to team members to enhance performance.
Support process improvement initiatives and suggest new, smarter ways of working.
Take responsibility for quality control, liaising with the Purchasing and Management teams when issues arise.
Open and close the building securely when required.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience leading or supervising a team in a warehouse environment (minimum 2 years).
Strong communication and people management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Confident using technology - experience with WMS systems, Excel, and email essential.
Proactive approach with strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
Forklift Truck Licence (preferred, not essential).
Understanding of quality standards and continuous improvement principles.
