Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse and Delivery Driver to join our team due to current employees upcoming retirement. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics by assisting with various tasks related to inventory management, order fulfilment, and logistics. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently. The role will also incude at times working with customers in our Showroom or Trade Centre as required. This is a varied role with time split between the Warehouse and delivering Tiles across the whole of scotland. Forklift experience is essential as is the ability to drive long distances.

Responsibilities

Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles and containers. Delivery of goods accross Scotland in 3.5 Tonne van. Some trips may be up to 300 miles in a day. Organise and store inventory in designated areas within the warehouse. Prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy in picking. Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and pallet trucks (training may be provided). Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Assist with stocktaking and inventory control as required. Communicate effectively with team members regarding inventory levels and any issues that arise. Help and serve customers in our Trade Centre and also in our Showroom if required.

Skills

Fork lift experience is essential for this role. Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable. Delivery driver experience is an advantage. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and also help and advise customers when requiured. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfilment. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and teamwork.

Hours offered:

We are looking for someone to work full time, 5 Days a week, Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm. There may be very occasional Saturdays at times. We are closed on Sundays.
