Overview

We are a small, friendly business seeking a reliable and hardworking Van Delivery Driver & Warehouse Operative to join our team. This is a

flexible role

that combines both

warehouse duties and delivery driving on different days

, offering a varied and active workday.

You will make a small number of deliveries each day within 100-mile radius of Wetherby area (typically 10-15 drops) and assist with warehouse operations, including picking, loading and unloading vehicles, organising stock, and keeping the workspace clean and safe.

This is a

physically demanding role

that requires

early morning starts

and the ability to handle manual lifting. A

full, clean driving licence

is essential, along with good time management, attention to detail, and a positive, customer-focused attitude.

Duties

Loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment Organising stock within the warehouse to optimise space utilisation Assisting with the preparation and dispatch of deliveries Operating delivery vehicles, in compliance with safety regulations Conducting routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety standards are met Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors regarding stock levels and delivery schedules Ensuring the warehouse remains clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations Heavy lifting of goods and equipment as required during daily operations

Skills

Previous experience in warehousing or logistics is highly desirable Delivery driver experience or commercial driving background is preferred Valid driver's licence, preferably with experience in driving large vehicles Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Organised approach to managing stock and delivery schedules Good physical fitness to handle long periods of standing, lifting, and manual handling tasks Forklift license preferable, but not necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
