Cold Store Operative - Freezer (All PPE is provided)

Due to ongoing expansion, fantastic opportunity arisen for an experienced cold store manager to join a well renowned and long-established family business in Accrington (BB5).

Job Type: Full-time

Annual salary of 29,000 (558/week)

20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.

Sunday to Thursday - 1.30pm - Job till finish (30 mins unpaid break included)

Normal finish time is 10pm.

No working on Friday or Saturday

Total of 42.5 hours per week of which 40 hours are paid with 30 minutes each day unpaid break. Please note there will be times when you are required to work past 10pm depending on the needs of the business. In these instances time will then be given back in lieu when the business is quiet in times of school holidays etc when the shift finishes earlier than 10pm so as to keep the average hours worked per week to 40..

Key Responsibilities

To help implement the efficient and accurate picking of items to fulfill customer orders within a cold store freezer distribution warehouse.

Job requirements

3 years former experience in warehouse and picking. This is not essential but advantageous. Ensure customer orders are picked with accuracy and efficiently and coordinate with other departments when necessary. Any other general warehouse duties that are necessary Optimize workflows and maintain inventory accuracy Must be of a fit state to stand, walk and have no issue with manual handling and lifting for extended periods. Ability to plan and organise workloads within a safe working environment, following all necessary policies and procedures.
