This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, professional and friendly team at one of the UK's leading global procurement service providers.

Reporting to the Commercial Delivery Manager, the role of Warehouse Operative will work with our supply chain and procurement teams ensuring all incoming and outgoing goods are correctly recorded, packed and dispatched to customers in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dynamic and a great communicator, looking to develop their knowledge and skills whilst supporting the business through an exciting period of growth.

Detailed responsibilities



To receive deliveries and check goods for compliance following company approved procedures, reporting any issues and discrepancies to the relevant team member.

To ensure delivery driver paperwork is signed, dated and correctly filed.

To operate the forklifts with H&SE guidelines, ensuring the safe unloading and loading of goods.

To ensure forklifts are well maintained with any defects immediately reported to the warehouse lead.

To manually unload and load goods at all times ensuring compliance with manual handling regulations and training.

To check the warehouse email inbox and take appropriate and timely actions.

To plan for larger deliveries at peak times assisting with the efficient organisation of the warehouse.

To help identify potentially hazardous goods and liaise with supply chain for relevant packing and storage.

Pick and pack orders for despatch in accordance with instructions received.

Advise on appropriate packing, this may include putting a case together.

To undertake de-tagging, re-tagging, labelling, repacking and consolidation of goods as necessary.

To undertake any general warehouse / building maintenance as required.

To maintain accurate records of goods in and out on a daily basis.

To manage ad-hoc collections and deliveries of goods as required.

To check stock levels of warehouse consumables and request more supplies as required.

To professionally represent the company when dealing with couriers.

To liaise with colleagues to ensure the warehouse is always covered and all deliveries and collections are handled without delay.

To liaise with Supply Chain colleagues to ensure goods are shipped in a timely manner.

To ensure the warehouse is tidy at all times and health and safety compliant with all activities undertaken in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations.

To undertake any other duties commensurate with the role.

About you



- Warehouse experience of booking goods in and out using a computerised system with good computer skills including Microsoft applications.

- Experience of loading shipping containers.

- Hold a valid counterbalance forklift truck license.

- Promote health and safety and maintain a safe working environment.

- Used to manual handling and heavy lifting.

- Able to build and break pallets.

- A great team player with a flexible can-do attitude.
