What we do.

This particular role is at our Bakkavor Spalding site, which employs over 1,470 people across 3 manufacturing facilities & 1 Distribution Centre. We specialise in making hand crafted sandwich wraps, salads, dips, soups & sauces and mayonnaise.

About the role.

We manufacture a wide range of high-quality chilled products for our dedicated customers at our Bakkavor sites. Our production lines are non-stop, so you'll be kept busy creating our products. Working right at the heart of our fast-paced, high-pressured environment, you'll enjoy plenty of variety, be encouraged to find where your strengths lie and supported to achieve your full potential.



Logistics Base Operative duties may include:

Preparation of goods for transportation Receiving, unloading, and checking of deliveries Replenishment of end-of-line, despatch and logistics areas with crates, pallets, and other goods as required Counting of stock Transferring and disposal of materials Monitoring of areas (including despatch, de-box, loading bays and perimeter) for required temperatures. Cleanliness of above areas; ensuring high GMP standards Completion of machinery start-up checks

About you.

Relevant Logistics/Stores/Despatch experience, which has ideally been within the food-manufacturing or warehousing environment Counterbalance and Reach FLT licence and achievement of a basic food hygiene certificate would be favourable Good computer literacy skills (Excel, Word, database system) Flexible and willing to undertake other roles/responsibilities if required Capable of working on own initiative with the ability and confidence to make decisions High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail Knowledge of warehouse systems Stock take/check experience
