Hours:

Core hours are 7.30am to 5pm, however, you will be expected to work flexibly between the hours of 6am and 6pm if necessary

You will be required to participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota

Dean & Wood Limited, a leading provider of products and services in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, is looking for a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our team at the Newcastle branch. If you have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a flexible attitude, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Loading & Unloading:

Operate forklift trucks (FLT) to load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring all goods received match the corresponding paperwork.

Goods Management:

Book in received goods on the computer system, accurately file away paperwork, and maintain warehouse bin locations.

Inventory Control:

Pick and pack customer orders with accuracy, arrange courier deliveries for orders outside our delivery area, and take part in the company's annual stock take.

Warehouse Maintenance:

Keep the warehouse tidy and ensure that all items are correctly put away.

Forklift Truck Checks:

Perform daily FLT checks and report any defects to the supervisor.

Customer Assistance:

Assist customers at the trade counter, help load their vehicles, and cover for the Trade Counter Assistant as needed.

Deliveries:

Occasionally carry out deliveries to customers.

Qualifications:

Forklift Truck (FLT) license is preferred but not essential; training can be provided. Previous warehouse experience is a plus but not required. A full driving licence is essential.
