Duties

Loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts Managing stock levels through accurate stocking, picking, and packing activities Operating warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 for inventory control and order processing Assisting with shipping and receiving tasks to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods Handling materials safely and efficiently, including heavy lifting where necessary Maintaining organisation of the warehouse space to promote safety and efficiency Performing routine mechanical checks on equipment and reporting any issues promptly Supporting construction or refurbishment activities within the warehouse as required Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Skills

Proven experience in a warehouse environment, including stock management and materials handling Proficiency in operating forklifts safely; relevant certification is preferred Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 is advantageous Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is beneficial for equipment maintenance tasks Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock control processes Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy setting
