Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented

Night Shift Warehouse Operative

to join our operations team. Working overnight, you will play a vital role in preparing customer orders, checking accuracy, and ensuring all goods are loaded correctly for dispatch. This is a hands-on role that requires efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work responsibly in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

Pick, pack and prepare customer orders with accuracy and speed Check orders against invoices and delivery notes before loading Load vehicles safely and efficiently for next-day deliveries Support stock rotation, date checks, and routine stock counts Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks or forklifts (training provided if needed) Handle goods safely, including manual lifting (up to 25kg) Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety and health & safety standards Report any stock discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards promptly

Requirements

Ability to work night shifts (6:30pm - 4:30am) Must pass a DBS check Reliable, punctual and committed to consistent attendance Attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines Physically fit and comfortable with regular manual handling Team player with the ability to work independently during quieter periods

Preferred (not essential):

Forklift licence Food Safety Certificate Driving licence Previous warehouse or logistics experience Basic computer skills (scanners, stock systems, order tracking)
