Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, shipping, and receiving. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and other machinery safely and efficiently for loading and unloading goods. Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock movements. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse. Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining an orderly warehouse environment. Perform picking and packing of orders accurately for shipping. Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are accounted for and discrepancies are reported promptly. Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate stock records using AS400 or similar systems. Carry out heavy lifting tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Provide support in construction-related tasks when necessary, utilising mechanical knowledge for equipment handling.

Experience

Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of materials handling processes. Familiarity with forklift operation is essential; certification is preferred but not mandatory. Experience with warehouse management systems will be advantageous for effective inventory tracking. A background in construction or mechanical roles will be beneficial for understanding equipment operations. Proven ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical tasks efficiently within a team setting.
