Hours: 21:00 start - 50 hr, some of which will be weekend working

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for processing and consolidating customer orders using the Manhattan Warehouse System (WMS), as well as loading and unloading vehicles that are for inbound and outbound despatch.
You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring product in loaded and unloaded in line with the company's policies and procedures and all related documentation is completed.
  • Reporting any trailer or MHE faults in line with company procedures and ensuring VOR vehicles are placed in the designated areas.
  • Remaining vigilant in ensuring goods are picked and assembled accurately as per instructions.
  • Properly securing all loads prior to leaving the loading bay
  • Achieving and maintaining the standards required to meet the Company's productivity targets
  • Ensuring all practices and procedures are safely carried out in line with the company's Health & Safety policy, SSOW's and HACCP regulations where appropriate, and to challenge colleagues who fail to adhere to any such rules or regulations.
  • Ensuring customer returns are received, recorded and notified to the appropriate Stock Controller.
  • Assisting colleagues as and when required and being a proactive and courteous member of the Warehouse team
The job holder may be required to complete duties outside of this list on an ad hoc basis.
WHAT WILL I NEED?
  • Educated to GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • An appreciation on Health and Safety standards
  • Experience of working within an environment where achieving deadlines and quality of work are critical
Previous experience of working in a warehouse would be desirable.
