Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, stocking, and shipping. This position requires a proactive individual who can work in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with heavy lifting and operating warehouse equipment.

Duties

Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Operate forklifts and other machinery safely and efficiently to move products within the warehouse. Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory levels, stock locations, and order fulfilment. Perform picking and packing of orders accurately, preparing items for shipment. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Maintain an organised and clean work area to promote safety and efficiency. Conduct regular stock checks and assist in inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels. Handle materials with care, ensuring compliance with safety regulations during all operations. Provide support in construction-related tasks when required, leveraging mechanical knowledge.

Qualifications

Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of materials handling processes. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous. Ability to operate forklifts; certification is a plus. Experience in stocking, picking & packing, shipping & receiving is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance is beneficial. Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for maintaining accuracy in all tasks. A proactive attitude towards teamwork and problem-solving in a dynamic environment.
