Overview
Butlers Automotive is a family run business situated in Barnsley town centre. Due to continued growth we are seeking to recruit a full time Warehouse operative / Relief driver to join our busy team. As a relief driver you will be required to deliver to various locations to cover for holiday periods and absenteeism. In quieter periods you will be required to assist with Warehouse duties i.e stock checking and organisation

Responsibilities

Safely operate vehicles for the delivery of goods to designated locations. Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Assist with warehouse duties as needed i.e stock checking and organising stock ensuring that all stock is in its correct place. Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Delivery driver experience is advantageous. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and physical stamina for manual handling tasks. A full clean driving licence is essential.
