The Position: Warehouse Operative - Weekend Days
13.60 per hour + 15% Weekend Premium = 15.64 for this shift
Pattern = Fri 06:00-18:00 / Sat 06:00-18:00 / Sun 06:00-18:00 = 33 hours
Reporting to: Warehouse Shift Coordinator
Essential daily tasks:
Report every potentially hazardous incident
Conduct physical inspection of the areas with the Warehouse Shift Coordinator
Ensure that all areas of the warehouse are tidy and well-maintained, clean as you go.
Work with Shift Co-ordinator on future load plans in relation to stock and advise Shift Co-ordinator of potential shortages
Carry out stocktakes and cycle counts
Discuss each identified deficiency or discrepancy with the Shift Manager before the end of shift
Check all pallets are to standard and any damage is reported with appropriate action taken
Update spreadsheets with despatch information.
Ensure stock rotation is maintained with FIFO system
Collaborate and communicate effectively with Team Members over all functions
Follow booking in and despatch process for any materials and update system and relevant spreadsheets
Issue materials by batch relevance to pick areas to allow planned production to be maintained
Ensure your continuous presence in the warehouse area :
Be visible in the warehouse
Adhere consistently to policies and procedures for all team members
Update daily checklists:
Make sure you keep the required documentation up to date
Complete all forklift checklists at shift start
Review and align completed tasks and actions taken during the warehouse shift with your manager
Essential skills and behaviours:
Good attention to detail.
Ability to identify, rectify, and enhance both employee and product safety areas
Comprehension of quality standards, compliance with these standards, and reporting doubts when the process does not go smoothly.
Understanding processes and readiness for their continuous improvement
High communication skills assuming clear and precise expression, ability to understand the statements of others, ability to listen:
o Showing respect to colleagues
o Showcase positive attitudes and serve as a role model for team members
Experience within goods in and despatch area and ability to develop further.
Site safety awareness.
Excellent time management and organisation skills.
Good communicator
Required experience:
Stock Control: 1 year (preferred)
FMCG: 1 year (preferred)
Computer literate
Experience of FLT driving required
