MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

We are looking for a multiskilled candidate who will be able to carry out a dual role,

Warehouse Operative and Delivery Driver

. It is a varied role which involves ensuring the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand as well as ensuring the delivery of our bathroom products to our client base in a professional and timely manner. The successful candidate will need to be fully flexible to cover duties from 6am to 6pm if required.

ACCOUNTABILITES

This role will involve the following responsibilities:

Working and communicating with different teams within the business daily Breaking down pallets Storing stock appropriately Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truck General warehouse maintenance duties Using handheld scanners to pick orders for delivery. Picking and packing. Inputting data into computers. Assisting with stock takes Providing exceptional customer service to our client base Reviewing orders prior to delivery Loading and unloading delivery vehicles Delivery stock to customers in a timely and professional manner Obtaining delivery confirmation to our client base Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules Ensuring the van is clean and ready for the next delivery Carrying out risk assessments and daily safety checks on the van The above list is not exhaustive.

SKILLS KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a similar role.

Full Driving Licence

Good geographical knowledge

Experience of manual handling

Excellent verbal and written communication

Good time keeping and attendance record

Must be an excellent team player

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Be willing to follow all health and safety guidelines.

Be willing to work overtime and flexible to work different shifts as and when necessary

Be willing to undergo any internal/external training that may be required.

Desirable Skills & Experience

Forklift Truck Licence.

Previous working knowledge with Kerridge or other WMS/ERP systems.

Delivery Planning Experience.
