Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to the handling of goods. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring safe handling and storage. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required for materials handling. Maintain an organised warehouse environment by following established procedures for inventory management. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatch of products. Perform regular inspections and basic repairs on warehouse equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and managing stock movement. Carry out heavy lifting tasks as necessary, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals while maintaining high standards of quality.

Skills

Proficiency in operating forklifts and other materials handling equipment is essential. Familiarity with warehouse management systems for effective inventory control. Strong mechanical knowledge to assist in equipment repair and maintenance tasks. Basic maths skills for accurate inventory tracking and reporting. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift. Experience in shipping and receiving processes is advantageous. Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail. A proactive approach to problem-solving within a team-oriented environment.
