Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operative to join our team. The candidate must have a forklift licence suitable for use on a Flexi forklift and have experience in moving pallets to multiple levels.

This role requires the ability to perform heavy lifting and operate various warehouse equipment, including forklifts. The Warehouse Worker will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing inventory and maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

Load and unload goods from lorries and containers efficiently. Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and orders. Conduct shipping and receiving tasks, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment as needed. Assist in inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate stock levels. Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals. Support with deliveries to customers when required. Professional written and verbal communication skills for when liaising with customers directly, keeping them updated on their goods in and out.

Requirements

Previous warehouse experience . Proficiency in using warehouse management systems for inventory tracking. Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair tasks is advantageous. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is required. Strong skills in materials handling, ensuring efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. Basic math skills for accurate inventory management and order processing. Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain an orderly workspace. Pay: 12.80-13.00 per hour
