JOB PURPOSE



To complete the full range of duties covering all aspects of the warehousing operation. Leading by example and following the direction of the Warehouse Manager.

ROLE OF THE DEPARTMENT



The role of the Warehouse Department is to work seamlessly as a team, driven by the company's strategic goals and objectives to deliver an outstanding service to our customers, achieving 100% OTIF. To maintain high standards of accuracy, whist picking and packing orders to be dispatched in strict adherence to our customer service charter.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES



Reporting into the Warehouse Manager, warehouse operatives are tasked with managing all goods which are handled through the warehousing operation. Daily tasks include (but are not limited to):

Goods In

Unloading goods from delivery vehicles.

Checking goods received against supplier delivery notes.

Reporting damaged and missing goods.

Placing checked goods into a designated storage area.

Goods need to be stacked in a safe manner and be moveable using a pallet truck.

Completing necessary paperwork.

Bulk pallets should be labelled and stored on the racking.

Keeping all associated paperwork and computer systems up to date.

Taking charge of stock movements.

Goods Out

Picking goods from designated storage areas or warehouse stock locations against picking notes.

Checking goods prior to despatch.

Packing goods to make suitable for transportation.

Palletising bulk orders ready for dispatch.

Completing carrier delivery notes and entering details on to an on-line carrier system.

Loading goods onto delivery vehicles.

All goods out be checked by at least two people before leaving the warehouse.

Adding new sheets to stock cards.

Stock Checking

Counting goods held in stock and checking against digital records.

Delivery Van Driver



You may be asked to carry out the role of delivery driver.

REQUIREMENTS



Full, Clean UK Driving Licence - this is a must. Experience in warehousing. Fork Lift Truck licence (Counterbalance as a minimum, Pivotsteer ideally). Experience with computers/Microsoft outlook email, word/excel. Good organisational skills. Ability to prioritise workload. A keen eye for detail. Good mental arithmetic. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent team player. Ability to work under pressure. Must be able to concurrently manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines.
