Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse, including materials handling, shipping and receiving, and ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse processes. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment.

Duties

Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring accurate handling of materials Perform shipping and receiving tasks, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation Conduct equipment repair as needed to ensure operational efficiency Handle materials safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols Utilise forklifts for moving heavy items within the warehouse Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space Assist in inventory counts and report discrepancies as necessary Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury Apply basic math skills for measuring and calculating quantities during inventory processes

Experience

Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for equipment repair tasks Experience in materials handling and operating forklifts is desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift Delivery driver / holiday relief
