As a multi-skilled operative, you will play a vital part of our operations, responsible for a wide range of tasks to ensure the smooth running of our warehouse.

We have a vacancy on the back shift working 3pm-midnight with 2 x 30 minute unpaid breaks.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Ensuring strict conformance to all Health & Safety procedures. Supporting the team in delivering regular stock checks and the month end stock check process. Adhering to customer quality specifications and guidelines. Ensuring the execution of orders accurately and to standard. Develop technical attributes geared to the smooth operation of any equipment. Assist in other operational areas when required.
This is also an integral role within the quality assurance process enabling us to deliver the highest standards to our customers.

Key knowledge and skills required:

Basic numeracy skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail. Team player. Self-motivation. Ability to read and follow instructions. Willingness to undertake Power Pallet Truck training (if not already qualified). Previous experience in the production environment of a medium to large manufacturing organisation. Able to cope with the demands of high levels of flexibility and short lead times whilst maintaining conformance to specifications. A flexible attitude to work and an appetite for personal development.

A day in the life.......

"Variety is guaranteed in this fast paced and energetic role. The role is pivotal in keeping the packhouse operation running smoothly. Tasks range from undertaking regular and routine stock counts which enhance your knowledge of the products that are used on a day-to-day basis across the business, to picking packaging orders, replenishing packhouse stock, and loading trailers using a power-pallet truck. This role requires both physical and mental engagement, which helps keep your mind stimulated and body active. Collaboration with your colleagues as part of a wider team is key to ensuring that we provide the highest quality service to our customers, contributing to the growth of the business."

Please note that there is restricted access to site due to limited public transport links. Access to your own vehicle is essential.

Thanet Earth is a 7 day a week operation. You will be required to work a 40 hour week which may include weekends and bank holidays. It may also be necessary at times to work outside these hours to meet the demands of the business.
