is a leading distributor of bathroom plumbing, heating and sanitaryware, supplying wholesalers throughout the UK. Our distribution centre, warehouse and sales team are based in Burscough and we are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to join our team.

This role reports in to the Warehouse Manager and a

Reach truck licence

would be very useful. You will be working within the Warehouse and Distribution team. The main job purpose of this role is to work with the team to ensure the efficient, safe and accurate handling of stock. This includes the accurate and prompt picking, packing, loading and dispatch of goods, ensuring a high quality service to all the Company's customers. The role will also include other general warehouse duties including goods-in, delivery unloading, operation of machinery, housekeeping and stock taking.

This role requires flexibility with regards to working hours and overtime to meet the needs of the business. It will also involve working outdoors on our forecourts, and it will be necessary to lift heavy objects on a regular basis.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable, hardworking and conscientious, and will have previous warehousing experience. Will be flexible and able to work well as a team as well as on your own. It is desirable that the candidate has a clean UK driving licence, counterbalance and forklift truck licence, however this is not essential. The candidate should also have a good standard of numeracy and literacy, and be competent in I.C.T. There is prospect for successful candidates to also participate in delivery driving duties.
