The Warehouse Operator's role is to facilitate and ensure that all inbound and outbound shipments are safely and accurately unloaded, received, checked, wrapped and put-away and execute all other tasks relating to warehouse operation in accordance with operational and health and safety procedures.Reporting to the Supervisor or Team Leader, the Warehouse Operator has overall accountability for daily warehousing operations which includes inventory, picking, packing and delivery of stock items, operating Manual Handling Equipment as required and minimizing any losses and damages during these processes.Must be able to follow standard operating procedures and work in a methodical and tidy manner, possessing a comprehensive understanding of material / stock management techniques and inventory control methods and procedures.This role will be working on day shifts on a 4 on, 4 off basis, from 7am until 7pm.Key TasksHandle the goods in the vehicles/containers to ensure they are ready for replenishmentEnsure the quality of housekeeping is maintained at all times, operating in a tidy as you go manorCarry out all tasks connected with Goods being returned which includes, unloading vehicles, sorting returns and putting stock awayEnsure quality, accuracy and compliance with safety, quality, health and environment procedures whilst performing any operationPerform quality, audit and other checks on product or storage locations as requiredMaintain stock integrity by ensuring correct stock and system movesDuties / ResponsibilitiesPerform all other duties as reasonably required that are consistent with both training and experienceHealth and safety - to be fully compliant with all health and safety requirements including warehouse procedures, PPE and housekeepingComplete the pre and post use inspections on the workplace transport and report any malfunction or damage to ensure that the workplace transfer is in good working order at all timesMaintain a safe working environment within the Warehouse and reporting any incidents or accidents immediately to the relevant managerSkills and Competencies2 x GCSE'S - Desirable but not essentialPrevious Warehouse experience - Desirable but not essentialRelevant transport qualifications - Desirable but not essentialAbility to challenge health and safety failuresAbility to use own initiative/proactive in suggestion improvement in proceduresUnderstanding of basic health and safety principlesGood understanding of English language - Written and verbalAbility to plan and manage own time wellUse of transportWhat can we offer you?Competitive Salary Package and an opportunity to be a part of and grow within a driven and successful company, with a team of 75,000, operating in over 95+ countries.Be part of a company that has strong ambitions and targets for sustainability initiatives, both internally and externally.
