Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing stock, handling materials, and supporting various logistical tasks. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Load and unload goods from lorries and containers with precision and care. Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials around the warehouse. Manage stock levels, ensuring that inventory is accurately recorded and organised. Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and processing orders. Engage in picking and packing activities to prepare orders for dispatch. Conduct regular checks on equipment and perform basic mechanical maintenance as needed. Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Familiarity with warehouse management systems, particularly AS400, is advantageous. Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues. Proven ability in materials handling and performing heavy lifting tasks safely. Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery is highly desirable.
