Monday to Friday, 7:00am-4.30pm and alternate Saturdays 7:30am -12:30pm
Job Purpose:
To work alongside our 2nd Warehouse Person to ensure that goods received into or sent out from the Company are in good condition and correspond with the correct ordering and receipt records. Ensuring accurate stocks and records are held and that customer deliveries are despatched on a right first-time basis. You will also support other teams within our busy builder's merchants as and where appropriate. This is a customer facing role involving day-to-day liaising with tradespeople and members of the public.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive goods into the warehouse and loading bay, logging these onto the computer system accurately.
Unpack and check goods received, putting them away in the correct place, either in the warehouse or on the shop floor, re-stocking shelves and stock rotating.
Collate customer bathroom orders, ensuring products are stored and located safely and marked accordingly.
Prepare, check and dispatch items in a timely manner, including loading onto van or lorries for delivery.
Assisting customers by locating and retrieving goods, and loading them into their vehicles.
Assisting co-workers and members of the public with knowledge of products, providing advice on suitable products where appropriate
Communicate and co-ordinate with the bathroom, plumbing and building departments regarding stock, deliveries and returns.
Liaise with courier & haulier drivers where necessary ensuring accuracy of paper and digital records.
Serve customers in the yard in busy periods and on Saturdays
Follow Health and Safety Guidelines at all times particularly in respect of lifting heavy weights when loading and unloading items, and storing items is a safe manner.
Oversee equipment used in warehouse, including the compactor machinery
Undertake regular stock checks and keeping stock system up to date, including rack locations on CounterAct and up to date labels on shelf edges
Cleaning and tidying the warehouse and site in general as required
General warehouse and yard duties as required, including serving customers where necessary
Where appropriate support transport team by delivering to customers in the company van, either as sole driver or driver's mate.

Person Specification:
Knowledge of building, plumbing, heating and bathroom products (although this can be learned)
Proactive and able to work as part of a team as well as using own initiative
Able to lift heavy weights with the strength and stamina required to lift and move goods in and around the warehouse
Customer focused, and comfortable engaging with members of the public
Good communication skills
Keen eye on detail
Computer literate
Organised and self-motivated
Clean UK Driving Licence required, and counterbalance fork-truck licence preferable but not essential
