Newstaff Employment Services are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Shift Leader for our client based in Northfield Milton Keynes

You will be working for a well-established client that specialise in food that is produced for a well-known takeaway store across the UK

The Warehouse Shift Leader is responsible for all aspects of the warehouse and distribution operation within the Quality Control Centre to ensure excellence in customer service through efficient product picking for timely dispatch of vehicles and delivery of products

Duties will include:

• Maintain daily efficient, accurate and timely picking and dispatch of all products keeping records of all relative documentation (pick sheets, delivery and dispatch notes, inventory count forms, non-conformance and hold logs)
• Act as liaison with supplier deliveries Effectively manage all stock rotation based on the first in first out (FIFO) principle in line with the WMS system
• To train as a super user on the WMS system
• Effectively manage the AM shift headcount through planning and scheduling
• Maintain an organised, efficient, and sanitary warehouse
• Ensure compliance within the site for health & safety requirements
• Deliver training to new starters

Requirements:

• Able to effectively communicate and provide verbal and written direction in English
• Working knowledge of basic principles of warehouse, distribution, and food manufacturing operations (including Good Manufacturing Practices)
• General warehouse management system knowledge required
• Microsoft Office experience required (Word, Excel, Power Point)
